It is the mission of Westlake Animal Hospital to help pets live longer and healthier lives so that people enjoy a better quality of life.

Who We Are

Westlake Animal Hospital has been serving central Texas for over four decades. The animal hospital opened in 1970 in what was no more than a renovated barn on Bee Cave Road. In the beginning Westlake Animal Hospital was a one doctor establishment that would work on nearly any animal in need. Today we are an eight doctor, full service, high-tech animal clinic in the service of small animals, with our primary emphasis on dogs and cats.

Dr. Thomas G. Bradfield Special Interests - Internal Medicine, General Surgery. 1970 graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. Opened Westlake Animal Hospital in August of 1970.
Dr. Ralph (Buddy) M. Fletcher Special Interests - Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery. 1973 graduate of Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. Joined Westlake Animal Hospital in 1973.
Dr. Barbara L. Wensel Special Interests - Pediatrics and General Practice. 1977 graduate of Kansas State College of Veterinary Medicine. Joined Westlake Animal Hospital in 1985.
Dr. Angela P. Asbury Special Interests - Internal Medicine, Feline Medicine. 1991 graduate of Michigan State College of Veterinary Medicine. Joined Westlake Animal Hospital in 1994.
Dr. Brent Rains Special Interests - Internal Medicine and Surgery, Laser Technology. 1998 graduate of Texas A & M College of Veterinary Medicine. Joined Westlake Animal Hospital April 2001.
Dr. Taylor Marchman Special Interests - Internal Medicine, Dentistry and Surgery. 2002 graduate of Texas A & M College of Veterinary Medicine. Joined Westlake Animal Hospital March 2005. Partner
